Journal entry for: 3-14-2000
Hey everybody,
Hope you guys are enjoying the birth of Spring. It’s just beautiful right now down here in Nashville. We’ve been home for about a week now. The record is in the final stages of mixing and we’re really excited. It’s looking like it should be out sometime in June. Mark is getting married in June, so it’ll be interesting to see how it all falls together. I cannot tell you how great it was to spend those months in New Orleans. We were surrounded by so much that was fighting against what we believe, and it served to really give us focus on our immediate task, and I think our lives. I think the main thing that God showed me was that I am surrounded by beauty. He made this world, put us in it, and called it good. Being in a place where everything from the architecture to the culture to the food was different, I was able to get a little hint of how vast and creative our God really is.
Right now I’m back in Nashville working on getting the record ready to release. We’re getting the artwork nailed down and working on marketing stuff. We have decided that we really think it’d be great to get on a tour with a bigger college band and I’d like to ask all of you to help us in praying for that. We want to be able to get to play to an audience that is basically in the same place that we are right now and will be able to grow with us, and we think that a college tour could really help. Thank you so much for those of you who commit to this prayer request.
Well, I hope that you’re all gearing up for a great spring break. E-mail me at thenormals@juno.com if you’ve got any good stories, or if you ever need anything you think I can help out with. Thank you again for all your prayers and your encouragement. We’re looking forward to getting back out on the road to see you all again. Until then . . .
Grace and Peace, Andrew
